About UPI

Uttarpani Polytechnic Institute, located in Dhankuta Municipality-10, Uttarpani, Dhankuta, is the oldest TVET school in Eastern Nepal. It was established in the year 2040 B.S. After the formation of the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) in the year 2045 B.S., this school has been transformed into the second constituent school of the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT). Spread over an area of 44.25 hectares (865 Ropani) in a beautiful and picturesque environment, Uttarpani Polytechnic Institute has been providing continuous contribution in the field of technical education to produce low- and medium-level technical manpower for the agricultural sector since its inception.

Currently, this school offers an 18-month pre-diploma in agriculture (plant science) and animal science. From 2072 B.S. to 3-year Diploma in Agriculture (Plant Science) and Animal Science, as well as UPI also conducting various 65-day (390-hour) short-term vocational trainings on the demand of the local community. We also process the skills tests of the applicants who are willing to take them. In order to advance this process in a more intensive manner, the aim is to establish this school as a skill testing center in the near future and conduct skill testing. In addition, since the financial year 2080/81, under the special scholarship program, 36 (thirty-six) students from 80 municipalities across the country who have not had access to technical education are being taught a diploma in pharmacy. A proposal has been submitted to the Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training to get permission to run various programs in engineering and health subjects by expanding the programs from the academic session 2081/82.

In the coming years, Uttarpani Polytechnic Institute aims to expand programs like Diploma Pharmacy, General Medicine (HA), Proficiency Certificate Level Nursing, and Civil Engineering towards regular health programs to produce the necessary skilled technical manpower in the health and construction sectors of the country and link them to the global labor market.

उत्तरपानी बहुप्राविधिक शिक्षालय “ दक्ष र सक्षम प्राविधिक जनशक्ति, सामाजिक र आर्थिक उन्नति ” दुरदृष्टि लिई कोशी प्रदेशकै उत्कृष्ट तथा नमुना शिक्षालय बन्नेछ ।

अभियान (Mission)

उत्तरपानी बहुप्राविधिक शिक्षालयले अत्याधुनिक प्रविधि प्रयोग गर्दै सीपयुक्त र दक्ष प्राविधिक जनशक्ति उत्पादन गरि उद्यमशीलता तथा सम्मानित रोजगारीको लागी आधारशीला खडा गर्नेछ ।

लक्ष्यहरु (Goal)

उत्तरपानी बहुप्राविधिक शिक्षालयको अभियान हासिल गर्नका निम्ति निम्न लक्ष्यहरु तय गरेको छ;

सञ्चालित कार्यक्रमहरु तथा थप कार्यक्रमहरु बिस्तार गरि समावेशी तथा पहुँचयोग्य प्राविधिक शिक्षाको सुनिश्चितता प्रदान गर्ने ।
कार्यक्रमको मापदण्ड बमोजिम भौतिक पूर्वाधार तथा आवश्यक श्रोत-साधन उपलब्ध गराउने ।
प्रशिक्षण तथा प्रशिक्षार्थी सिकाईलाई समयानुकुल प्रविधिमैत्री बनाउने ।
श्रमबजारलाई आवश्यक दक्ष, सीपयुक्त तथा उद्यमशील प्राविधिक मानव संशाधन विकास गर्ने ।

उद्देश्यहरु (Objectives)

उत्तरपानी बहुप्राविधिक शिक्षालयको लक्ष्यहरु हासिल गर्नका निम्ति निम्न उद्देश्यहरु तय गरेको छ;

१.१) प्राविधिक शिक्षा तथा ब्यावसायिक तालिम परिषद्को प्रवेश परीक्षा सञ्चालन, छात्रवृत्ति वितरण तथा भर्ना सम्बन्धी निर्देशिका, २०७९ अनुरुप प्रशिक्षार्थी भर्ना गर्ने ।

१.२) सामाजिक समावेशीता अनुरुप समान पहुँच प्रदान गर्ने ।

१.३) प्राविधिक शिक्षा तथा ब्यावसायिक तालिम परिषद्सँग कार्यक्रम स्वीकृत गराई कार्यक्रम थप गर्ने ।

२.१) शैक्षिक तथा प्रशासनिक भवन निर्माण गर्ने ।

२.२) शिक्षालयमा बिद्यमान संरचनाहरुको मर्मत-सम्भार गर्ने ।

२.३) पाठ्यक्रमको मापदण्ड बमोजिम प्रयोगशाला तथा कार्यशाला ब्यवस्था गर्ने ।

२.४) स्थानीय श्रोत-साधनको पहिचान गरि तिनको प्रयोगलाई प्रोत्साहन गर्ने ।

३.१) पाठयोजना तथा बार्षिक कार्ययोजना अनुरुप प्रशिक्षण गर्ने/गराउने ।

३.२) प्रशिक्षक तथा कर्मचारीलाई समयानुकुल क्षमता अभिबृद्धिका लागी तालीम ईत्यादीमा सहभागी गराउने ।

३.३) प्रशिक्षण सहायताका सामग्रीहरु जस्तैः ICT, AV Aids ईत्यादीको प्रयोग गर्ने ।

३.४) पाठ्यक्रम अनुरुप यान्त्रिकीकरण गर्ने ।

३.५) नियमीत शैक्षिक भ्रमण तथा प्रशिक्षार्थीहरुलाई प्रविधिमैत्री बनाउन अभिमुखीकरण गर्ने ।

४.१) प्रशिक्षण तथा प्रयोगात्मक अभ्यासलाई सीपसँग जोड्न योजना तयार गर्ने ।

४.२) उद्योग,व्यवसाय तथा रोजगारदाता निकाय/संस्थाहरूसँग सम्बन्ध विस्तार गर्ने ।

४.३) उद्योग तथा रोजगारदाताहरु संगको समन्वयमा रोजगारमेला आयोजना गर्ने ।

४.४) श्रम बजारसँगको नियमीत संचार संयन्त्र निर्माण गर्ने ।
